Todd Kerns is a Canadian rock musician. He is best known as the bass guitarist and a singer for the famous guitarist Slash. He plays in Slash's band, called Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
Kerns has been part of many bands during his career. He was the lead singer and guitarist for The Age of Electric. He also started a band called Blackbird Angels with guitarist Tracii Guns.

Music Career
The Age of Electric (1989–2000)
Todd Kerns started his career as the frontman for the hard rock band The Age of Electric. His brother, John Kerns, played bass in the band. The band became very popular in Canada.
Their most successful album was Make a Pest a Pet, released in 1997. It had a hit song called "Remote Control," which was very popular on the radio. Because the album sold so many copies, it was certified gold in Canada. This means it sold over 50,000 copies!
During this time, Kerns also worked with another popular group, the Matthew Good Band. He sang background vocals on some of their songs, like "Rico" and "Hello Time Bomb".
New Bands and Solo Music (2000–2009)
After The Age of Electric, Kerns formed a new band called Static in Stereo with his brothers. They released one album in 2002 and were nominated for a Canadian Radio Music Award for "Best New Group."
In 2004, Kerns released his first solo album, called Go Time. He also joined the band Faster Pussycat for a tour in Europe in 2007. That same year, he started a band in Las Vegas called Sin City Sinners. They played cover songs of famous rock hits and also wrote their own music.
Playing with Slash (2010–Present)
In 2010, a huge opportunity came for Kerns. He joined the band of Slash, the world-famous guitarist from Guns N' Roses. Kerns plays bass and sings backing vocals in the band, which is called Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
Apocalyptic Love
The band's first album together was Apocalyptic Love, released in 2012. Kerns played bass and sang on the album. A song from the album, "You're a Lie", became a number one hit on rock radio charts in Canada. The album was very successful around the world.
World on Fire
In 2014, the band released their next album, World on Fire. It was also a big success, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The title song, "World on Fire," was a number one hit. The band toured for over a year to support the album.
Because of his great skills, readers of Loudwire magazine voted Kerns the "Bassist of the Year" in 2014.
Living the Dream
The band's third album, Living the Dream, came out in 2018. They released the single "Driving Rain" and went on a world tour. In 2018, Kerns was honored with a star on the B.C. Entertainment Walk of Fame for his contributions to music.
Album "4"
In 2022, the band released their fourth album, simply titled 4. The first single was called "The River Is Rising." This album showed that the band was still going strong and making exciting new rock music.

Even while playing with Slash, Todd Kerns has been involved in many other projects.
- Toque: A band he formed with some Canadian friends to play covers of famous Canadian rock songs.
- Heroes and Monsters: A rock trio he started with guitarist Stef Burns and drummer Will Hunt.
- Solo Work: Kerns has released his own solo albums, including an acoustic album called Borrowing Trouble.
- Guest Appearances: He has played with many other famous musicians, like Michael Monroe and Bob and Bruce Kulick from the band Kiss.
Kerns also has his own clothing line called "Dammitwear / Anti-Star designs".
