Todd Norton Terry (born April 18, 1967) is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is famous for his work in house music. His music helped shape the New York house music scene in the 1990s. He often used many samples to mix sounds from classic disco, Chicago house, and hip-hop. He has also remixed songs for many different artists.

Todd Terry's Music Journey
Todd Terry played a big part in changing house music. He took the early Chicago house sound and mixed it with hip hop beats. This made a new, exciting sound that became very popular. Starting His Career
Terry began his music journey in the 1980s. He started as a DJ at parties in New York. At first, he played Italo disco and hip-hop songs. Later, he focused on house music as it became popular in the mid-1980s. His first release was "Alright Alright" in 1987. This song was part of a famous Chicago house music collection.
Making Waves in House Music
Much of Todd Terry's early work in the late 1980s was very important for house and rave music. He created two of the most well-known remixes in house music history. These were "I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers and "Missing" by Everything but the Girl.
His music was also a key part of the "acid house" scene in the UK. He released many popular tracks under different names. In the 1990s, Todd Terry released more successful songs. "Something Goin' On" and "Keep on Jumpin'" were both top-ten hits in the UK. The singers Jocelyn Brown and Martha Wash provided the vocals for these tracks.
In 1997, the singer Shannon sang on his hit song "It's Over Love." This song reached the top 20 in the UK. It also became number one on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart in the US. His album Ready for a New Day came out in 1997. It included "Something Goin' On," "Keep on Jumpin'," and "It's Over Love." The album reached number 84 on the UK Albums Chart.

Terry also helped produce songs for other artists. He worked on "Shake" for P.M. Dawn's first album. He also produced "The House of Isis" for Isis in 1990.
In 2004, his song "Weekend" by the Todd Terry Project was featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It played on the house music radio station SF-UR.
