Thomas James Davis (born August 13, 1952 – died July 19, 2012) was a funny American comedian, writer, and author. He was super famous for working with his comedy partner, Al Franken. They were known as "Franken & Davis" and were a big part of the TV show Saturday Night Live.

Tom Davis's Early Life and Comedy Career
Tom Davis was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He went to The Blake School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is where he became good friends and started working with Al Franken.
In 1975, Tom Davis got a huge opportunity. He became one of the first writers for Saturday Night Live. He and Al Franken also performed together on the show.
Franken & Davis: A Comedy Duo
The comedy team of Franken & Davis was very popular. They wrote a movie called One More Saturday Night and also acted in it. They even had small parts in other movies like Trading Places.
