Tom Ward was born in Wales on January 11, 1971. He is a British actor who has worked in movies, on stage, and on TV. He is most famous for his role as Dr. Harry Cunningham in the popular BBC show Silent Witness. He played this character from 2002 to 2012.

Early Life and Education
Tom Ward was born in Swansea, Wales. He went to school at Dragon School in Oxford and then The King's School in Canterbury. After that, he studied at Lincoln College at the University of Oxford.

Early TV Roles
In 1998, Tom played George Osborne in the BBC miniseries Vanity Fair. This show was based on a famous book by William Makepeace Thackeray. Two years later, in 2000, he appeared in another miniseries called Anna Karenina for Channel 4. This was also an adaptation of a well-known novel by Leo Tolstoy.
Silent Witness
In 2002, Tom Ward joined the cast of the BBC crime drama Silent Witness. He played Dr. Harry Cunningham, a student who was learning about forensic pathology. This means he studied how people died to help solve crimes. His character trained under the main person in the show, Sam Ryan, played by Amanda Burton. Tom stayed on the show for many years, until 2012. His character then moved to New York.
Other Notable Appearances
After Silent Witness, Tom Ward appeared in the Doctor Who Christmas special called "The Snowmen" in late 2012. He also had a role in Death in Paradise in early 2013.
In December 2013, Tom played Colonel Fitzwilliam in a BBC TV show called Death Comes to Pemberley. This show was also based on a book. In 2015, he was in an ITV drama called Harry Price: Ghost Hunter.

Tom Ward married Emily Hohler in 2001. Emily is a journalist and also helps people with their nutrition. They have three children together.
