Tomas Pačėsas (born November 11, 1971) is a famous Lithuanian who played professional basketball. He later became a basketball coach. He has also been involved in business and politics.

Playing Basketball
Tomas Pačėsas was a talented point guard during his playing career. He played for many different teams in several countries.
Club Success
Tomas Pačėsas played for various clubs from 1993 to 2007. He was a key player for many teams. In 2004, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Polish Basketball League. This means he was considered the best player in the league that year. He also helped his teams win many championships.
Playing for Lithuania
Tomas Pačėsas was a proud member of the senior Lithuanian national team. He represented his country in big international competitions. One of his biggest achievements was winning a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. This was a huge moment for Lithuanian basketball.
Coaching Teams
After his playing career, Tomas Pačėsas became a basketball coach. He started as an assistant coach and then became a head coach.
Leading Lietuvos rytas
In December 2015, Pačėsas became the head coach for Lietuvos rytas, a well-known team. He led the team to win the King Mindaugas Cup in 2016. This was a great victory for the team. However, the team faced some challenges in the league playoffs. He extended his contract for another year in June 2016. In February 2017, he decided to resign from his coaching role at Lietuvos rytas.
More recently, in 2024, Tomas Pačėsas joined the Lithuanian national team again, this time as an Assistant coach.
