Tommy Albert Blom (born March 3, 1947 – died May 25, 2014) was a talented Swedish singer, songwriter, and musician. He was best known for being a member of the popular 1960s band called Tages.

Tommy Blom and the Band Tages
Tommy Blom helped start the band Tages in 1963. At first, it was just him and Anders Topel playing acoustic guitars. They performed at a boat race in Hovås, Sweden. People really liked their music!
Because of their success, they quickly added more band members. These included guitarist Danne Larsson, bassist Göran Lagerberg, and drummer Freddie Skantze.
Tages: A Top Swedish Band
Tages became one of the most successful bands in Sweden during the 1960s. They had many hit songs that made it into the top 20 charts. Some of their popular songs were "Sleep Little Girl", "I Should Be Glad", "In My Dreams", and "Miss Mac Baren".
The band also released two albums that sold very well and were certified gold. These albums were called Tages (released in 1965) and Tages 2 (released in 1966).
Tommy Blom left Tages in 1968. After he left, the band changed its name to Blond. However, they broke up just one year later.
Tommy Blom's Later Work and Hobbies
After his time with Tages, Tommy Blom continued to work in music and media. In the mid-1990s, he started hosting a radio show on Vinyl 107. He lost this job for a short time in 2008 but returned to the station in 2011.
Every Sunday, Tommy hosted a special radio program called 60-tals morgon. This show played many songs from the 1960s. Before working at Vinyl 107, he was a music teacher at a school called Kvarnbäcksskolan in Haninge.
Other Music Groups and Voice Acting
Tommy Blom was also a member of other music groups. He played with a band called Idolerna and another group known as The Cadillac band.
Many kids might know Tommy Blom's voice from a popular cartoon! He was the Swedish voice of Mr. Krabs in the show SpongeBob SquarePants. He continued to voice this character until he passed away.

Tommy Blom died on May 25, 2014, in Sweden. He was 67 years old.
