Tomokazu Nagira is a former Japanese football player. He was born on October 17, 1985, in Izumo, Japan. He played as a defender, helping to protect his team's goal. Nagira played for several professional clubs in Japan. He also represented his country on the national youth team.
Playing for Football Clubs
Tomokazu Nagira started his professional football journey in 2004. After finishing high school, he joined a team called Avispa Fukuoka. He began playing more often each year.
In 2011, Nagira moved to another team, FC Tokyo. However, he did not get to play many games there. The next year, in 2012, he joined Gainare Tottori. He played regularly for this team in 2013. At the end of the 2013 season, Tomokazu Nagira decided to retire from playing professional football.
Throughout his club career, he played in 150 matches and scored 3 goals.
Representing Japan
In June 2005, Tomokazu Nagira was chosen to play for the Japan U-20 national team. This team played in the 2005 World Youth Championship.
During this important tournament, Nagira played in all four matches. He was a key player, staying on the field for the entire game in each match. He played as a center back, which is a defender position.
