Tomás Balcázar González (born May 4, 1931 – died April 26, 2020) was a famous Mexican football player. He played as a forward. He was well-known for playing with the club Guadalajara. He also played for the Mexican national team.

Tomás Balcázar was a true legend in Mexico. He was part of a very special team called "campeonísimo." This name means "champion of champions." It was given to the historic Guadalajara team. This team won 8 championships in just 10 years!
International Matches
Tomás Balcázar played for Mexico in the 1954 FIFA World Cup. He scored a goal against France in that tournament. When he scored, Tomás was 22 years old.
Interestingly, his grandson, Javier Hernández, also scored against France. This happened during the 2010 FIFA World Cup on June 17, 2010. Javier was also 22 years old when he scored that goal!
