Tonka Tomicic Petric (Croatian: Tonka Tomičić Petrić; born on May 31, 1976) is a famous Chilean TV host and former beauty queen. She is from a Croatian family.
Tonka is well-known for hosting popular TV shows on channels like TVN and Canal 13. Some of her most famous shows include Buenos Días a Todos, the Viña del Mar International Music Festival, and Bienvenidos. Many people in Chile see her as one of the most important female TV personalities. Before becoming a TV star, Tonka was a fashion model. She has also been the face of the department store "Almacenes Paris" since 2005 and a brand ambassador for Garnier in Chile since 2007.

Early Life and Education
Tonka Tomicic was born on May 31, 1976, in Antofagasta, Chile. Her parents, Antonio Tomičić and Marija Petrić, moved to Chile from Croatia. Tonka grew up in a part of Santiago called La Florida. She went to school at Colegio Argentino del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. In 1994, she started studying visual communication design at Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, but she did not finish her studies.
Career Highlights
Tonka was discovered as a model when she was 14 years old by the New Models Agency in Chile. After that, she filmed her first TV commercial for a shoe company. Her career as a beauty queen began when she won the Miss World Chile pageant in 1995. This allowed her to represent Chile in the Miss World 1995 competition held in South Africa. She continued her success in beauty pageants by winning Virreina Sudamericana in Bolivia in 1996 and Miss Atlántico Internacional in Uruguay in 1999.
In 2002, Tonka was invited to be a fashion commentator on the TVN show Pase lo que Pase. She soon became one of the main co-hosts of this program. Later, she became a co-host of Buenos Días a Todos, a very popular morning TV show. In February 2006, Tonka hosted the famous Viña del Mar International Music Festival, and she hosted it again in 2007 and 2008 with Sergio Lagos. In 2009, Tonka moved from TVN to Canal 13. There, she became the host of the morning show Bienvenidos and also hosted prime-time shows like El Hormiguero, Tonka Tanka, and the reality show Mundos Opuestos.
Today, Tonka Tomicic is still a well-known face for Almacenes Paris department stores. She also works with the Claro telecommunications company and has been a brand ambassador for Garnier in Chile since 2007. There is even a hair dye color called "Chocolate Tonka."
Personal Life
Since 2004, Tonka has been in a relationship with Marco Antonio López Spagui, who is also known as Parived. They got married on April 16, 2014, in Jerusalem, Israel.
