Elio Cesari (born May 13, 1938), known as Tony Renis, is a famous Italian singer, songwriter, and music producer. He also acted in films.

Tony Renis: A Musical Journey

Tony Renis was born in Milan, Italy. In the mid-1950s, he met another artist named Adriano Celentano. They started performing together, doing impressions of the famous duo Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.

Early Career and First Hits

In 1958, Tony Renis signed with "Combo Records." He released several cover songs, which are new versions of existing songs. He sang Italian and American rock 'n' roll hits with his band, Combos.

In 1961, Tony Renis made his first appearance at the Sanremo Music Festival. This is a very important music competition in Italy. He sang the song "Pozzanghere."
