About Patrizio Buanne

Early Life and Passions

Patrizio Buanne was born in Vienna, Austria. His parents were Franco and Alina Buanne. He grew up traveling between Vienna, Austria, and Naples, Italy. He says these two cities helped shape who he is today.

From a young age, Patrizio loved learning languages. He studied Roman and Slavic languages at the University of Vienna and in Rome. He can speak many languages, including Italian, German, English, French, Spanish, and Polish.

He also loved music, especially classic Italian and Neapolitan songs. His parents would play these songs from vinyl records for customers at his father's restaurant. Patrizio is married and has a daughter named Alina Josephine. They live in Austria.

Patrizio's Music Career

Starting Out as a Singer

Patrizio Buanne began his music journey early. Between the ages of 11 and 17, he won several talent shows. This led to small music projects and performances. He even had his own 1950s rock and roll band.

When he was 17, Patrizio got a big opportunity. He was asked to perform for the Pope in Wroclaw, Poland. He sang a song in both Italian and Polish for 85,000 people. This led to his first record, Angelo di Dio, in 1997. Sadly, his father passed away that same year. Patrizio was so sad that he became very ill.

Moving to Italy and New Ideas

At 19, Patrizio finished school in Vienna. He moved to Naples and then Rome. He continued studying languages at university. He also looked for chances in the entertainment world in Italy. He appeared on Italian TV shows like Momenti di Gloria.

Patrizio wanted to record romantic Italian songs with an orchestra. He wanted to show that Italian music is more than just opera. He also wanted to honor his father. He spent five years developing this idea.

The Italian Album (2005)

In 2004, Patrizio found a team to help him. He recorded his album and auditioned for record companies. Finally, Universal Music signed him for a worldwide release. The album, The Italian, was recorded in London. He worked with the famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.

The album came out in February 2005. It quickly became a top ten hit in the United Kingdom. It sold over 100,000 copies in its first week! The Italian earned gold awards in the UK, Austria, and Finland. It went platinum in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and other countries. It even went triple platinum in Australia.

After this success, Patrizio went on two major tours in 2006. He performed in Australia, Asia, South Africa, and Europe. His live concert DVD, "Patrizio-the new voice of romance," was shown on American TV. This led to his first tour in the United States. In 2006, he also met the President of the United States at a special event.

Forever Begins Tonight (2007)

Patrizio's second album, Forever Begins Tonight, was released in 2007. It reached No. 15 in the UK. It also hit No. 7 on the US Billboard World Albums Chart. The album included an Italian version of the Robbie Williams song "Angels." In less than two years, his first two albums sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

Patrizio Album (2009)

For his third album, Patrizio, he worked with Warner Music. He collaborated with famous producers, Humberto Gatica and Brian Rawlings. These producers had worked with stars like Michael Jackson and Celine Dion. They helped Patrizio find more classic Italian songs. The album also featured new original songs. It was recorded at the famous Hollywood's Capitol Studios.

In 2011, on his birthday, this album reached number 5 on the US Jazz Billboard charts. He then went on his third concert tour. He performed in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa, and the United States. He was even invited to perform on TV shows like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
