A Look at Torralbilla's Past

In 1248, King Jaime I made Torralbilla an independent town. Before this, it was part of Daroca. Later, Torralbilla joined a group of villages called the Sesma de Langa. This group was part of the Community of Villages of Daroca. These villages reported directly to the king. This way of governing lasted until 1833, when King Fernando VII died.

Exploring Torralbilla's Buildings

The most important building in Torralbilla is the San Lorenzo Catholic Church. It was built in the 1600s in the baroque style. The church has a special eight-sided tower. Inside, you can see many beautiful altarpieces. An altarpiece is a piece of art behind the altar in a church.

One altarpiece is very old and special. It is the San Blas altarpiece, from the 1400s. People believe it was made by an artist named Juan de Bonilla.

Other interesting places in town include the town hall. There are also two small stone monuments called peirones. These are dedicated to San Roque and San Ramón.

Discovering Torralbilla's Nature
