Torri Higginson is a Canadian actress. She was born on December 6, 1969, as Sarah Victoria Higginson. Torri is famous for her roles in TV shows and movies.
She is well-known for playing Elizabeth Weir in the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis series. She also played Jordan Hampton in NCIS. Another big role was Commander Delaney Truffault in Dark Matter. Besides TV and movies, she also acts in plays.

Early life
Torri Higginson was born in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. When she was older, she went to study acting. She attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. This famous school is located in London, United Kingdom.
Acting career
Before Stargate SG-1 started, Torri Higginson worked on other projects. In 1995, she was in a movie called Jungleground. She acted alongside other stars who would later join the Stargate world.
Stargate roles
Torri took over the role of Elizabeth Weir in Stargate SG-1. She first appeared in the eighth season of that show. Later, she became the leader of the Atlantis team. This was for the spin-off series Stargate Atlantis. She was a main character for the first three seasons. In the fourth season, her role became smaller. She did not return for the fifth season.
Other TV shows
In 2015, Torri Higginson was cast in a TV drama called This Life. She played Natalie Lawson, a single mom and writer. Her character was diagnosed with a serious illness. The show ran for two seasons.
In 2016, she played Dr. Kessler in a web series. This show was called Inhuman Condition. More recently, in 2021, she joined the medical show Transplant. She started as a recurring character. For the second season, she became a regular cast member.
