Toshiaki Haji (羽地 登志晃, Haji Toshiaki, born August 28, 1978) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward for several teams in Japan's professional leagues.

Toshiaki Haji's Football Journey

Toshiaki Haji was born in Sakai, Japan, on August 28, 1978. He started his football journey while studying at Tenri University.

Early Career and First Steps

In November 2000, Toshiaki Haji joined Cerezo Osaka, a team in the top Japanese football league, the J1 League. He made his first professional appearance on November 18, 2000. He came into the game as a substitute forward. However, he played only this one match for the team until 2002. During this time, Cerezo Osaka was moved down to the J2 League, which is the second division.

Moving to New Teams

In September 2002, Toshiaki Haji moved to Sagawa Express Osaka. This team played in the Japan Football League, another professional league. He played well there, scoring 4 goals in just 6 matches.

The next year, 2003, he joined Montedio Yamagata in the J2 League. He played in many games, often coming in as a substitute forward to help his team.

Challenges in the Top League

In 2004, Toshiaki Haji moved back to the J1 League with JEF United Ichihara. But he didn't get to play any matches there. Later that year, in September 2004, he moved to Kashiwa Reysol, another J1 League team. He played in several matches for them.

Becoming a Key Player

The year 2005 was a big one for Toshiaki Haji. He joined Tokushima Vortis, a team that had just been promoted to the J2 League. Here, he became a regular player and a very important forward, scoring many goals for the team.

In July 2007, he moved to Ventforet Kofu, a J1 League club. He didn't play as much there, and the team was moved down to the J2 League in 2008. In 2008, he played more games, often as a substitute.

Return to Tokushima Vortis and Retirement

In 2009, Toshiaki Haji returned to Tokushima Vortis. He had an amazing season, playing in all 51 matches and scoring 12 goals! However, in 2010, he didn't play as much. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2010 season.
