Toshiaki Imai (今井 敏明, Imai Toshiaki, born 29 December 1954) is a Japanese football manager and former player. He has coached many teams, including national teams like Chinese Taipei and Mongolia.

Toshiaki Imai's Early Life
Toshiaki Imai was born in Saitama, Japan, on December 29, 1954. He went to Waseda University, a well-known school in Japan.
Playing Football
Toshiaki Imai played football for a team called Fujitsu. He played there from 1977 to 1981. This team later became known as Kawasaki Frontale.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing, Imai became a football coach. His first coaching job was with Tokyo Gas in 1993. He also coached Shiroki FC Serena in 1996 and Kawasaki Frontale in 2000.
Coaching National Teams
In 2005, Imai got his first chance to coach an international team. He was chosen by the Japan Football Association to lead the Chinese Taipei national team. His job was also to help improve football in Taiwan. He signed a one-year contract in December 2005.
Even though the team did not win many big international games, many people believed Imai had a good effect. He helped develop football activities in Taiwan.
In 2006, Imai extended his contract with the Chinese Taipei Football Association. He also coached the Chinese Taipei women's national team. He led them in the qualification games for the 2008 Olympic Games in 2007. In 2008, he went back to Japan to coach Waseda University.
In 2016, Imai coached the Chinese Taipei men's team again. However, he was let go later that year. In 2017, he became the head coach for Global Cebu in the Philippines. In 2020, Imai briefly coached Taichung Futuro in Taiwan.
