Tracey Kelliher, known as Tracey K, is a talented singer and songwriter from Ireland. She is famous for her powerful voice and for writing the words to many songs. One of her most well-known songs is "The Cure and the Cause," which became a big hit on the UK Dance Chart in 2006.

Tracey K's Music Journey
Tracey Kelliher grew up in County Kerry, located in the southwest of Ireland.
Early Career and Collaborations
When Tracey was studying at university in Galway, she joined a music group called Dextris. This group had two singers who sang together over house and hip-hop music beats.
In 2003, Tracey started working with two musicians named Shane Johnson and Greg Dowling. They were part of a group called Fish Go Deep. Their first song together was "Lil' Hand." This song later became the main song on their first album, also called Lil' Hand.
Hit Songs and Albums
Their first single, "Nights Like These," came out in 2003. It was released by a record label called Inspirit Music in the UK.
In 2004, their album Lil' Hand was released by Ultrasound Recordings, a music company in Canada. A new version of the song "The Cure and the Cause" was made by Dennis Ferrer in 2005. This version became very popular. It reached number 23 on the UK Singles Chart and number 1 on the UK Dance Chart. The song was later released in the U.S. in 2007 by Strictly Rhythm.
