Tracey K, whose real name is Tracey Kelliher, is a talented singer and songwriter from Ireland. She is well-known for singing and writing the words for the popular song "The Cure and the Cause." This song was a huge hit on the UK Dance Chart in 2006, reaching the number one spot!

Tracey K's Musical Journey

Tracey Kelliher grew up in County Kerry, a beautiful area in the southwest of Ireland. She loved music from a young age.

Starting in Music

When Tracey went to university in Galway, she joined a music group called Dextris. This group had two singers who sang together. They created music using house and hip-hop beats. It was a great way for Tracey to start her musical career.

Working with Fish Go Deep

In 2003, Tracey began working with Shane Johnson and Greg Dowling. They are two musicians from the group Fish Go Deep. Their first song together was called "Lil' Hand." This song later became the main track on their first album.

Their very first single, "Nights Like These," was released in 2003. It came out on a UK music label called Inspirit Music.

Big Hits and Success

In 2004, the album Lil' Hand was released in Canada. A famous DJ named Dennis Ferrer later remixed the song "The Cure and the Cause" in 2005. This remixed version became very popular!
