How Trafalgar Began

Moving the Town Center

Later, Ezekiel W. Morgan came to Trafalgar to open a store. He could not find a good spot near the railroad. So, he bought land in a nearby village that George Bridges had started.

In 1868, the railroad was rebuilt. It became part of the Big Four railway system. The town's post office and its official name were moved to Morgan's store. By 1870, the older and newer parts of Trafalgar had grown together. The town was officially made one place for a short time.
