Tres Algarrobos is a small town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is part of the Carlos Tejedor Partido, which is like a county or district in Argentina.
History of Tres Algarrobos
For a long time, the land where Tres Algarrobos now stands was home to native people of Argentina. This changed in the late 1800s. Around the 1880s, the border of settled areas in Argentina moved further into this territory.
The town of Tres Algarrobos started to form around the year 1900. The Ministry of Public Works decided to divide a large piece of land, about 16,000 hectares, into smaller plots. Each plot was about 100 hectares in size. This helped create the first parts of the settlement.
Tres Algarrobos was officially founded on August 17, 1901. This is the date when it was formally recognized as a town.
A big change happened in 1910 when the first train arrived. The Ferrocarril Oeste (Western Railway) opened, connecting Tres Algarrobos to other places. This made it easier for people and goods to travel.
