The Trettachspitze is a famous mountain in the Allgäu Alps in Germany. It stands tall at 2,595 metres (8,514 ft) (about 8,514 feet). This mountain is special because it's one of the most well-known peaks in the Allgäu Alps.
It is also the only high, rocky mountain in the Allgäu Alps that is completely inside Germany. The Trettachspitze is made of a type of rock called Dolomite.
About the Trettachspitze
The Trettachspitze is part of a famous group of three mountains. These are the Mädelegabel, which is 2,645 metres, 8,678 feet high, and the Hochfrottspitze, which is 2,649 metres, 8,691 feet high. Together, they form a striking "threesome" along the main ridge of the Allgäu Alps. The Trettachspitze is located just north of the Mädelegabel.
First Climbers
The Trettachspitze was first climbed a long time ago in 1855. Three brothers, Urban, Alois, and Mathias Jochum, were the first to reach its top. This was a big achievement back then!
