For his first two playing seasons, Trevon was a reserve player, meaning he came off the bench. As a sophomore, he averaged 3.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. When a key player left, Trevon stepped up and became a starter in his junior year. He then averaged 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

He was the first Cincinnati player since the 1982–83 season to average a "double-double" (meaning he averaged double digits in two categories, points and rebounds).
