History of Triesenberg
Triesenberg is famous for its special way of speaking, called a dialect. This unique dialect comes from people called Walser migrants. They moved to this area in the early 1300s, during the Middle Ages. The local government of Triesenberg actively works to keep this dialect alive.
It's amazing that such a small country like Liechtenstein has so many different ways of speaking! Besides the Triesenberg dialect, people also speak Standard German and another dialect called Alemannic German.
