Troll facts for kids
A Troll is a creature from old stories in countries like Norway and Sweden. People often imagine trolls as big, strong giants, but sometimes they are also seen as smaller, like dwarves or elves. They are usually thought to live in dark places like caves or deep underground. Trolls are also a well-known internet meme, meaning a funny idea or picture that spreads quickly online.
Trolls in myths are often described as having a wild nature. Their look can be similar to a goblin. Some stories say they are huge, while others describe them as small.
Where Do Trolls Live?
Trolls usually live in hidden places. They often make their homes in caves, under bridges, or in burrows deep underground. These creatures rarely come out during the day. This is because sunlight can be dangerous for them. Many legends say that if a troll is caught in sunlight, it will turn into stone!
Some special types of trolls are called water trolls. These trolls are very good at moving in water. However, they can be clumsy when they are on land. No matter where they live, most trolls are said to have strong teeth and powerful jaws.
