Trump is a ghost town located in Park County, Colorado, United States. A ghost town is a place where most or all people have left, leaving behind empty buildings and a quiet landscape.
History of Trump
Trump was once a busy place where people farmed and raised animals. It was a successful settlement during the 1920s and early 1930s.
The town had a store where people could buy things. It also had a post office that served the ranches nearby. Ranch hands, also known as cowboys, from the area would even have exciting rodeo competitions there!
Decline of the Town
By 1936, most people had moved away from Trump. The population had shrunk to only three people.
Trump Conglomerate
In 1937, a special type of rock was found near Trump. A person named J. H. Johnson identified this unique sandstone. It was named "Trump conglomerate" because it was found so close to the settlement.
