In 2000, Shari Watson signed with Dr. Dre's music label, Aftermath Entertainment. This was a big step in her career.
Early Appearances and First Album
- Her first appearance was in 2001. She sang background vocals on Busta Rhymes' popular song, "Break Ya Neck".
- In 2001, she also had small acting roles. She appeared in the movie The Wash with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
- She also made a quick appearance in the film Ali, which starred Will Smith.
- Truth Hurts also sang background vocals on the D12 song "Nasty Mind".
- Her first solo album was called Truthfully Speaking. It came out in 2002 on the Aftermath label.
