Tsukasa Shiotani (born December 5, 1988) is a Japanese professional football player. He is known for playing as a defender, usually a centre-back, but can also play as a defensive midfielder. He currently plays for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in Japan.

Tsukasa Shiotani's Football Journey
Tsukasa Shiotani started his football journey in Japan. He played for several youth clubs before joining Kokushikan University. After college, he began his professional career.
Early Career with Mito HollyHock
Shiotani started playing professionally in 2011 for Mito HollyHock. He played in the J. League Division 2, which is Japan's second-highest football league. He played 60 games for them and scored 5 goals.
Success with Sanfrecce Hiroshima
In 2012, Shiotani moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima, a team in the top Japanese league, J1 League. He quickly became a key player for them. With Sanfrecce Hiroshima, he won the J1 League championship three times: in 2012, 2013, and 2015. He played 140 games and scored 17 goals during his first time with the club.
Playing Abroad with Al Ain FC
From 2017 to 2021, Shiotani played for Al Ain FC in the United Arab Emirates. This was a big move for him to play in a different country. He played 88 games for Al Ain and scored 11 goals.
Return to Sanfrecce Hiroshima
In 2021, Tsukasa Shiotani returned to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He continues to play for them, adding more games and goals to his career. As of December 2023, he has played over 70 more games for the club.

Tsukasa Shiotani has also represented his home country, Japan, in international football.
Olympic Games
In August 2016, Shiotani was chosen to play for the Japan Under-23 national team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He was one of the "over-age" players allowed to join the under-23 squad. He played in all three matches for Japan as a strong centre-back.

Shiotani played for the main Japan national team from 2014 to 2019. He played 7 games for Japan and scored 1 goal.
International Goal
