Tsuyoshi Kunieda (国枝 強, Kunieda Tsuyoshi, born September 18, 1944) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender and was part of the Japan national team.

Tsuyoshi Kunieda's Club Career
Tsuyoshi Kunieda was born in Hiroshima Prefecture on September 18, 1944. After finishing university, he joined a football club called Toyo Industries in 1967. This club was in his home area of Hiroshima.
Winning Championships with Toyo Industries
His team, Toyo Industries, was very successful! They won the Japan Soccer League championship three times: in 1967, 1968, and 1970. They also won the Emperor's Cup, another important football tournament, in 1967 and 1969. Tsuyoshi Kunieda played for Toyo Industries until he retired in 1972. During his time there, he played 38 league games and scored 3 goals.
Playing for the Japan National Team
In October 1969, Tsuyoshi Kunieda was chosen to play for the Japan national football team. He joined them for the qualification games to get into the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
Kunieda's International Debut
He played his first game for Japan on October 16, 1969, against Australia. Two days later, on October 18, he also played against South Korea. These were the only two games he played for Japan in 1969.
