Tula is a small community in Lafayette County, Mississippi, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place, which means it's an area identified by the census bureau for statistics. Tula is located about 7.5 miles (12.1 km) west-southwest of a town called Toccopola.
The name Tula might come from the Chickasaw language, meaning "rock." Another idea is that it was named after Tula, a city in Russia.
In the 2020 Census, Tula was officially counted as a CDP for the first time. At that time, 197 people lived there.
