Tulfes is a small town, also called a municipality, in Austria. It is located in the Tyrol region. Tulfes is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) east of the city of Innsbruck. It is also 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) above Hall in Tirol.
People first wrote about Tulfes in the year 1240. Back then, it was called “Tellevo.” Today, the main way people in Tulfes earn money is through tourism. Many people visit Tulfes because it is close to the bigger cities of Innsbruck and Hall. This makes it a popular place to live.
