The Story of Tumi Asbe Bole
The name of the show, Tumi Asbe Bole, comes from a famous song by Nachiketa Chakraborty. It tells a touching story about a young widow. She marries her college senior for the sake of her little daughter. The show also teaches important life lessons. These include the values of love, sacrifice, and adjusting to new situations.
The story is about Nandini and Rahul, two young people living in Kolkata. Rahul is an honest and humble man. He comes from a rich family but is different from his relatives. He cares deeply for his step-mother, Rupanjana Debroy. However, Rupanjana had tricked Rahul's father into marrying her because she wanted his money.
Nandini is a married woman and a loving mother to her daughter, Jhumjhumi. She is very responsible. Rahul was deeply in love with Nandini when they were in college together. He told her how he felt back then. But Nandini saw Rahul only as a senior and did not expect him to propose. She turned him down and moved on with her life. She chose to marry the man her family picked for her.
Eight years later, Rahul became a successful businessman. Nandini had given birth to Jhumjhumi. Rahul's sister, Riya, fell in love with Nandini's brother, Abhinandan. When Rahul's family went to meet Abhinandan's family, Rahul met Nandini again. This meeting brought back many old memories for both of them. They had not stayed in touch over the years and felt a bit shy seeing each other again.
Then, something sad happened: Nandini's husband died in a car accident. Rahul became a part of Nandini's and Jhumjhumi's lives. At first, Nandini was not sure, but she married Rahul for her daughter's future. Over time, she also fell in love with Rahul. She then found out a big secret about the Debroy family. She learned how terrible Rupanjana truly was. Rupanjana had become the head of the family by pretending to be a good mother. Nandini realized that Rupanjana would do anything to get what she wanted. She would even hurt her own children to achieve her goals. Nandini understood that Rupanjana was using Rahul for her own benefit. So, Nandini promised to protect Rahul and Jhumjhumi from Rupanjana's plans.
