Tupu is an exciting French-Canadian animated TV show. It was made by the French animation studio Xilam. Xavier Giacometti directed the series.
The show tells the story of a girl named Tupu and Norton, the son of the New York City mayor. Tupu has bright red hair and lives in Central Park. Many of their adventures happen right there in the park.
Only one season of Tupu was made, with 26 episodes. The show became very popular in many countries. It was translated into languages like Hebrew, Arabic, Turkish, Russian, German, and Dutch.
Today, the show is quite rare. Many countries no longer have the rights to broadcast it. For example, ABC in Australia has no plans to show it again. In France, the channel Gulli stopped airing it a few years ago.

Discovering Tupu's World
The series is all about a girl named Tupu who lives almost like a wild animal. She reminds some people of Mowgli from The Jungle Book. However, Tupu is different because she has good manners. She also understands basic English.
Tupu lives with her squirrel friend, Whatzup. She spends a lot of time with Norton. Tupu is also friends with all the animals in the Central Park zoo.
Norton lives a fancy life with his father, the mayor. He often travels around town in a long limousine. He especially likes going to Central Park.
A park guard named Shoobert Shoobz is always trying to catch Tupu. He wants to prove that she exists. But he always fails to catch her. Because of his constant claims about a wild girl, people think he is a bit strange.
Meet the Characters
Tupu
Tupu is a wild girl who lives barefoot in Central Park. Her home is a big oak tree. She gets along very well with Norton. Tupu can talk to animals and understand them.
Shoobz often tries to catch her, but Tupu always escapes. She does not like anyone who treats animals or nature badly. Her squirrel friend, Whatzup, is usually with her. Most people do not know about Tupu, except for Shoobz and Norton. To others, she seems like a normal New York girl. Only Norton truly knows where she lives.
Norton
Norton's father is the mayor of New York City. Norton is Tupu's best friend. He is one of the few people who know Tupu's secret. Norton hopes to become an adventurer, just like his parents.
Norton and Tupu are very close friends. In some episodes, they are seen as a team.
Whatzup
Whatzup is Tupu's closest animal friend. He is always seen with her. He helps Tupu when she is in trouble. Sometimes, Tupu also has to help rescue Whatzup. That is what friends are for!
Whatzup is sometimes away from Tupu when he is looking for food. Tupu and Whatzup share the same tree. Even though he lives in Central Park, Whatzup is a type of squirrel called a ruddy European squirrel.
Shoobz
Shoobz is the caretaker of Central Park. His main goal in life is to catch Tupu. He wants to prove that she really exists. Shoobz lives with his mother.

Episode Adventures
There is one season of Tupu with 26 episodes. Each episode shows Tupu and Norton having new adventures. They often deal with challenges in Central Park.
For example, in "Members Only," Norton wants to join a cool school group. Tupu helps him with their tough challenges. In "Old Dogs, New Tricks," Tupu helps older people from a rest home. She leads them on a fun adventure.
Another episode, "It's a Hard Rock Life," shows Tupu dealing with a noisy rock star. In "The Kangaroo," Tupu tries to help Norton. She uses a pet kangaroo for a school event.
The episodes often show Tupu helping animals. She also helps Norton learn about nature. Shoobz is always trying to catch her, which adds a lot of funny moments.
