Marc Marie Joseph Raymond du Pontavice, born on January 10, 1963, is a talented French animator and businessman. He is well-known for producing many popular animated shows. Some of his most famous works include Oggy and the Cockroaches, The Magician, Space Goofs, and Zig & Sharko.
Marc du Pontavice started his career at Gaumont, a big French film company. In 1990, he helped start Gaumont Television. This part of the company began making animated series in 1994. It later became known as Gaumont Multimedia in 1995. After working there for several years, Marc decided to start his own company. He teamed up with Alix de Maistre to create Xilam, which is now a very successful animation studio.
