Turan University (Kazakh: Тұран Университеті) is a large private university. It is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The university first opened its doors in 1992.
Turan University offers many levels of education. You can study there from high school all the way to advanced university degrees. This includes lyceum, college, bachelor's, master's, and even doctorate programs.
At Turan University, you can choose from three main study areas. These are Humanities and Law, Economics, and the Academy of Film and Television. The university has many teachers. There are over 360 full-time teachers. Many of them are highly qualified professors and doctors.
What's on Campus?
The university has its own campus. It is a large area, about 35,000 square meters. The main building has seven floors. This building holds the university offices. It also has classrooms for the Economics and Humanities and Law students.
The campus also has great sports facilities. There are three football pitches. You can also find three sports halls. Students can live on campus in the dormitory.
How Turan University Works
Turan University is part of a bigger educational group. This group helps students learn at different stages. It makes sure learning flows smoothly from one level to the next.
This educational group includes:
- Two universities: one in Almaty and one in Nur-Sultan.
- Three colleges: also in Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
- A lyceum (high school) in Almaty.
- A special educational and fun complex called "Tau-Turan."
