Toussaint Michael Chiza (born on January 1, 2002), known as Tusse, is a singer from Congo and Sweden. He became famous for representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Tusse's Early Life and Journey
Tusse was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. When he was five years old, he had to leave his home country. He lived in a refugee camp in Uganda with his aunt for three years. After that, he moved to Sweden in 2015. He has lived in a village called Kullsbjörken, near Leksand, ever since.
Becoming a Star: Talent Shows
Tusse loves to sing! He first appeared on a Swedish talent show called Talang 2018 in 2018. He made it to the semifinals of the competition. A judge named Bianca Ingrosso really liked his performance.
In 2019, Tusse joined another big singing competition, Swedish Idol. He did incredibly well and reached the final. He competed against another singer named Freddie Liljegren. Tusse won the competition and became the Swedish Idol winner!
Music After Idol
After winning Swedish Idol, Tusse released some songs. One of them was a cover of "How Will I Know" by Whitney Houston. He also released his winning song from Idol, called "Rain". This song became very popular. His third single was "Innan du går".
Eurovision Journey
Tusse took part in Melodifestivalen 2021 with his song "Voices". This is a big music competition in Sweden to choose who will represent the country at Eurovision. Tusse won Melodifestivalen with a high score of 175 points.
Representing Sweden at Eurovision
Because he won Melodifestivalen, Tusse got to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The contest was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
After his first practice at Eurovision, Tusse received some unkind comments online. However, he continued to perform strongly. He made it through the semi-final and qualified for the Grand Final on May 22. In the final competition, Tusse finished in 14th place with his song "Voices".
After Eurovision, Tusse talked about his life and his experience in an interview with Vanity Teen magazine.
A Film About Tusse
In June 2023, it was announced that a movie about Tusse's life was being planned. The film was expected to be made in 2024.
