Two Medicine facts for kids
Two Medicine is a beautiful area found in the southeastern part of Glacier National Park in Montana, USA. It's a popular spot with a campground right next to Two Medicine Lake. Long ago, from the late 1890s until a big road called the Going-to-the-Sun Road was finished in 1932, Two Medicine was one of the most visited places in the whole park!
Today, the Two Medicine Store sits by the lake. It used to be part of a bigger group of buildings and is now a special historic landmark. This area is a great starting point for many hiking trails. You can also take fun boat tours on Two Medicine Lake, where you'll see the huge Rising Wolf Mountain towering over the water. For several Native American tribes, including the Blackfeet, this area was considered sacred. They would come here for important spiritual journeys called Vision quests. Besides Chief Mountain, Two Medicine is the most sacred part of the park for the Blackfeet people.
