Tyrone Edwards is a Canadian TV host and businessman. He is currently one of the main hosts of eTalk, a popular TV show on CTV that shares news about movies, music, and celebrities.
Early Career and 1LoveTO
Tyrone Edwards first became well-known in Toronto in the 2000s. He was a partner in a project called 1LoveTO. This started as a blog about Toronto's community and entertainment. By 2011, 1LoveTO grew into its own clothing line.
In 2011, Tyrone started working for MuchMusic. He became the new host of a show called RapCity. He also worked as a reporter and host for E!, which is another TV channel. In 2018, he joined eTalk as a reporter.
Important TV Specials
In June 2020, Tyrone Edwards co-hosted a special TV show called Change & Action: Racism in Canada. He hosted it with other CTV hosts like Anne-Marie Mediwake, Marci Ien, and Elaine Lui. This show was made by CTV because of the global anti-racism protests happening at the time. It also talked about similar discussions in Canada.
On September 14, 2020, it was announced that Tyrone would be the new co-host of eTalk. He took over from Ben Mulroney. The very next day, he co-hosted the TIFF Tribute Awards for the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. He hosted this event with his eTalk colleague, Chloe Wilde.
Business Ventures
Besides his work on TV, Tyrone Edwards is also a businessman. He is a partner in Miss Likklemore's, a restaurant that serves Caribbean food. This restaurant is located on Queen Street West in Toronto.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, Tyrone and his original 1LoveTO partners started a special clothing line. It was called See You Soon Toronto. All the money made from this clothing line was given to charities. These charities helped workers who were affected by the pandemic shutdowns.

He was also nominated for Best Host, Live Entertainment Special. This was for eTalk's special coverage of the 95th Academy Awards. He shared this nomination with Traci Melchor and Elaine Lui.
