Traci Melchor is a well-known Canadian television personality. She is famous for being an entertainment reporter for CTV's show etalk. She is also a judge on the reality competition series Canada's Drag Race. Traci Melchor used to be a co-host on CTV's The Social. Early Life and Education
Traci Melchor grew up in Pickering, Ontario, which is in Ontario, Canada. She went to Seneca College to study radio and television broadcasting. Traci has two children, a son named Phoenix and a daughter named Phoebe.
Starting Her Career in TV
Traci Melchor began her career at CHUM Limited. She worked as an entertainment reporter for Citytv. Later, she became a co-host for RapCity on MuchMusic. After that, she moved to Los Angeles. There, she worked as an entertainment reporter and host for E!. She also took on some acting roles in different TV shows. Then, she returned to Canada to work for MuchMoreMusic, which is a sister station to MuchMusic.
Joining CTV and eTalk
In 2008, Traci Melchor joined CTV's eTalk. She started as a reporter and is now one of their main correspondents. This means she is a senior reporter who covers important entertainment news.
Becoming a Judge on Canada's Drag Race
In 2020, Traci Melchor appeared on Canada's Drag Race. This show is the Canadian version of RuPaul's Drag Race. She was known as ‘Canada’s Squirrel Friend’ and was a guest judge for the final episode. In June 2021, it was announced that Traci would become a main judge for the second season. She joined Brooke Lynn Hytes, Amanda Brugel, and Brad Goreski on the judging panel. She also returned as a main judge for the third season in 2022 and the fourth season in 2023.
