Tyrone Hill, born on March 19, 1968, is a former professional basketball player from America. He also used to be an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Tyrone played college basketball for four years at Xavier University. In his final year, he was amazing, scoring about 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors picked him as the 11th player in the 1990 NBA draft.

Tyrone Hill's NBA Journey
Tyrone started his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors. He played there for three years. After that, he moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1993.
Becoming an All-Star
While playing for the Cavaliers, Tyrone had a fantastic season. On November 25, 1994, he scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in one game. This helped the Cavaliers win against the Washington Bullets. His great play earned him a spot in the 1995 NBA All-Star Game. This is a special game where the best players in the league get to play together.
He also set a team record for the Cavaliers. He shot 60% from the field, which means he made 60 out of every 100 shots he took. This was one of the best shooting percentages in the entire NBA that year.
Moving to New Teams
After his time with the Cavaliers, Tyrone was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 1997. This trade involved other famous players like Terrell Brandon and Shawn Kemp. After playing for the Bucks, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers. He also had two more times playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Later, he played for the Miami Heat before he stopped playing basketball professionally.
Playing in the NBA Finals
When Tyrone was with the Philadelphia 76ers, he played as a starting power forward. He teamed up with other strong players like Theo Ratliff and Dikembe Mutombo. Together, they reached the 2001 NBA Finals. They played against the Los Angeles Lakers, but unfortunately, they lost.

Tyrone Hill was known as a "lunch pail and hard hat" player. This nickname means he was a very hardworking player. He was tough and always gave his best effort. He was especially good at playing defense and grabbing rebounds.
