The 1988 UEFA European Football Championship was a big football tournament. It happened in West Germany from June 10 to June 25, 1988. This event is also known as the Euro 1988. The final game of the tournament was played on June 25. It was a match between the Soviet Union team and the Netherlands team. The Netherlands won the game with a score of 2–0. This victory made the Netherlands European champions for the very first time. It is still their only win in this championship.
