Ulrich "Uli" Biesinger (born August 6, 1933 – died June 18, 2011) was a German footballer. He played as a forward for professional teams and also for his country. Uli Biesinger was part of the German team that won the 1954 FIFA World Cup.
Playing Career
Uli Biesinger was born in Augsburg-Oberhausen, Germany. He started his football journey as an attacker for BC Augsburg. He was a very talented player.
National Team Appearances
Between 1954 and 1958, Uli Biesinger played seven matches for the German national team. During these games, he scored two goals. He was the youngest player on the German team that won the 1954 FIFA World Cup. This was a huge achievement for him and his country.
Club Success
Biesinger played as a center forward. This position means he was usually the main goal scorer for his team. He scored 105 goals in 187 games while playing in the Oberliga Süd. This was between his first game in 1952 and 1959. In 1959, his team, BC Augsburg, moved down to a lower league.
