Untersteckholz was once a small town, also known as a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Bern, which is like a state or region. The town was part of the Aarwangen district. On January 1, 2010, Untersteckholz joined with a larger town called Langenthal. This means it is no longer a separate municipality.

Geography of Untersteckholz
Before it merged, Untersteckholz covered an area of about 2.83 square kilometers (about 1.09 square miles). A large part of this land, about 73.9%, was used for farming. This means people grew crops or raised animals there.
About 20.8% of the area was covered by forests. The remaining 5.7% of the land was developed. This included buildings like houses and roads.
Most of the developed area was made up of homes and other buildings. Roads and other ways to get around also took up some space. A significant portion of the land was heavily forested. Some areas also had orchards or small groups of trees.
For farming, most of the land was used for growing crops. Some areas were pastures for animals. A small part was used for orchards or vineyards.
