Uta, also called Uda in the Sardinian language, is a small town in Italy. It's part of the Cagliari metropolitan area in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, located on the island of Sardinia. Uta is about 15 kilometers (9 miles) northwest of Cagliari, a larger city.
One of the most important places to see in Uta is the old Romanesque church of Santa Maria. In 1849, some ancient Nuragic bronze items were found near Monte Arcosu in the area. As of 2015, Uta had 8,392 people living there.
