Assemini is a town in Italy, located on the island of Sardinia. It's part of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, which is like a big city area. Assemini is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) northwest of Cagliari, the capital city of Sardinia.
The town sits in a flat area near the Cixerri, Flumini Mannu, and Sa Nuxedda rivers. Assemini also has large forest areas. These forests are part of the Sulcis Regional Park, a protected natural space.
Assemini is famous for making beautiful ceramics. This tradition goes back a very long time, even to when the Carthaginians ruled the area. The town is also part of the larger Cagliari metropolitan area. It shares borders with several other towns, including Cagliari, Capoterra, Decimomannu, Elmas, Nuxis, San Sperate, Santadi, Sarroch, Sestu, Siliqua, Uta, and Villa San Pietro.
