Why Sarroch's Population Grows
The number of people living in Sarroch changes throughout the year. In the summer, the population can grow to about 10,000. This happens because many tourists visit the areas of Perda e Sali and Portu Columbu. These places are popular for vacations.
What Does the Name Sarroch Mean?
The exact meaning of the name Sarroch is not fully known. One idea is that it comes from the ancient Phoenician language. In Phoenician, "Sharak" means "bunch of grapes."
