Uwe Bein (born 26 September 1960) is a German former professional footballer. He was a talented midfielder known for his amazing passes. Many experts thought he was one of the best German players at making a "deadly pass." This means he could pass the ball perfectly to a teammate, setting them up to score a goal.

Playing Career Highlights
Uwe Bein started his professional football journey in 1978 with Kickers Offenbach. He then played for several other big German clubs. These included 1. FC Köln, Hamburger SV, and Eintracht Frankfurt. During his time in Germany, he played in 300 matches in the top league, the Bundesliga. He scored 91 goals in these games.
In 1986, he helped his team, 1. FC Köln, reach the final of the 1986 UEFA Cup Final. This was a big European competition. Even though he scored a goal in the final, his team lost to Real Madrid.
Later in his career, in 1994, Uwe Bein moved to Japan. He played for the team Urawa Red Diamonds. He also played a few games for VfB Gießen in 1997.
World Cup Success
Uwe Bein's biggest achievement was winning the 1990 FIFA World Cup with Germany. This is one of the most important football tournaments in the world. He played in four of the seven games during the tournament. He scored one goal in a match where Germany won 5–1 against the United Arab Emirates. He played in all three group matches and the quarter-final game. However, he did not play in the final match where Germany won the World Cup.
International Matches
Uwe Bein played a total of 17 international matches for Germany. He scored three goals for his country. He stopped playing for the national team in 1993. This meant he did not play in the 1994 World Cup.
