Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born on March 27, 2011. He is a talented Indian cricketer. He plays for the Bihar team and the Rajasthan Royals. Vaibhav is a left-handed batsman. He started playing first-class cricket for Bihar in 2024. He was only 12 years old then, playing in the famous Ranji Trophy.
Later that same year, he made history. At just 13 years old, he became the youngest player to sign a contract for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He joined the Rajasthan Royals team. He also became the youngest player to play in List A cricket matches.

Early Life and Cricket Journey
Vaibhav Suryavanshi grew up in a place called Tajpur. This town is about 10 kilometers from Samastipur in the state of Bihar. He started playing cricket when he was nine years old. His father was his first coach and taught him how to play the game.
Playing for Teams
First-Class Debut
When Vaibhav was 12, he played for Bihar's under-19 team. He played in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. In January 2024, he made his first-class cricket debut. He played for Bihar against the Mumbai team. He was reported to be 12 years and 284 days old at the time.
This made him the second youngest player to play in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar. He was also the fourth youngest player overall in the history of the Ranji Trophy. He broke a record held by Yuvraj Singh for the youngest player in the modern era. Yuvraj Singh was 15 years and 57 days old when he debuted. The all-time record for the youngest Indian first-class player is held by Alimuddin. He was just 12 years and 73 days old in the 1942-43 season.
Youngest IPL Player
In November 2024, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made more history. He became the youngest player ever to sign an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract. He was only 13 years old when he joined the Rajasthan Royals team.
In December 2024, he set another record. He became the youngest player to play in List A cricket. He played for Bihar in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Madhya Pradesh. This match took place in Hyderabad. He was 13 years and 269 days old at that time.
Playing for India's Youth Team
In 2023, Vaibhav played for the India B under-19 team. He played in a special quadrangular series. He scored 177 runs in six games. He also made two half-centuries, which means he scored over 50 runs twice.
In September 2024, he played his first game for the India under-19 team. He played against Australia under-19s. In this game, he scored a century (100 runs) very quickly. He reached 100 runs in just 58 balls. This was the fastest century ever for an India under-19 player. He was eventually run out after scoring 104 runs. His century was also the second-fastest in all under-19 international cricket.
At the 2024 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, Vaibhav continued to play well. He scored 76 runs off 46 balls against UAE under-19. Then, in the semi-final against Sri Lanka, he scored 67 runs from 36 balls.
