Vern Yip (born June 27, 1968) is a well-known American interior designer and TV host. He was born in Hong Kong and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Vern became famous for his work on TV shows where he helped people make their homes look amazing.

He often appeared on the show Trading Spaces on TLC. On this show, he was known for using things like silk, candles, and flowers to decorate rooms. Vern also served as a judge on HGTV Design Star on HGTV. He also hosted his own show called Deserving Design for four seasons.

Vern Yip's Early Life and Education

Vern Yip grew up and went to high school in northern Virginia. He graduated from McLean High School in 1986. After high school, Vern went to the University of Virginia. There, he studied two different subjects: Chemistry and Economics.

Later, he continued his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned two master's degrees from Georgia Tech. One was in management, and the other was in architecture. Even though he thought about starting his own design company, Vern enjoys his TV work. He says he loves "transforming lives through design" on television.

Vern Yip's Family Life

Vern Yip is a family man. He has two children. His son was born in 2010. A year later, in 2011, his daughter was born.
