Vernon Biever's Life and Career
Early Life and First Photos
Vernon Biever was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He started his photography journey early. In 1941, he took pictures at his first Green Bay Packers game. He was still a student at St. Norbert College at the time. His photos were published in The Milwaukee Sentinel.
Serving His Country
During World War II, Vernon Biever joined the United States Army. He served his country before returning to his passion for photography.
Official Packers Photographer
After the war, Biever became the official photographer for the Green Bay Packers. This was in 1946. He held this important job for a very long time. He took pictures of the team until he retired in 2006. That's 60 years of capturing football history!
