Victor Stanley Howe (born November 2, 1929 – died January 31, 2015) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played as a right wing. Vic played 33 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Rangers. His time in the NHL was between 1951 and 1955.

Most of his hockey career, from 1948 to 1957, was spent in smaller leagues. Vic was also the brother of famous hockey legend Gordie Howe. His nephews, Mark and Marty, also played in the NHL. Both Gordie and Mark Howe are honored in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Vic Howe's Early Life and Hockey Journey

Vic Howe was born in Saskatoon, Canada. He was one of nine children in his family. His parents were Ab and Katherine Howe. Vic grew up playing hockey in Saskatoon.

He spent most of his career playing in minor hockey leagues. These are leagues that are not the NHL. He played 33 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). This was over three seasons in the 1950s.

Vic stopped playing hockey after the 1956–57 season. At that time, he was playing in the British National League. However, he returned to the ice for the 1961–62 season. He played for the Moncton Beavers. This team was part of the Nova Scotia Senior Hockey League.

Life After Hockey: A New Career

After retiring from professional hockey in 1957, Vic Howe started a new job. He became a constable for the Canadian National Railway Police. He worked in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Vic lived in Moncton until he passed away on January 31, 2015. He was a dedicated worker and lived a full life after his hockey days.
