Vica Kerekes grew up with parents who had Hungarian heritage. After studying acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she moved to Budapest in 2001. Her first movie role was in 2004, in a Slovak film called Konečná stanica. Many people around the world know her from the 2011 movie Men in Hope.
