Vicente Molina Foix (born on October 18, 1946) is a well-known Spanish writer and film director. He has written many books and directed movies, becoming an important figure in Spanish culture.

Early Life and Education
Vicente Molina Foix was born in Elche, Spain, in 1946. He went to college at the Complutense University in Madrid. He also studied in London, England. Later, he taught Spanish literature at the University of Oxford from 1976 to 1979.
Writing Career
Vicente Molina Foix first became known as a young poet. His poems were featured in a famous collection of new Spanish poetry in 1970. This collection was put together by the author José María Castellet.
He also wrote a book called New Cinema in Spain. This book looked at Spanish movies made from World War II up to 1976. He found success writing both fiction (made-up stories) and non-fiction (true stories). In 1973, he won the Premio Barral award for his second novel, Busto.
Molina Foix wrote the words for an opera called El viajero indiscreto in 1990. The music for this opera was composed by Luis de Pablo. He has also written for the national newspaper El País and the magazine Fotogramas.
Film Directing
In 2001, Vicente Molina Foix started directing films. He has directed two feature films. His first movie was Sagitario (film) (2001), which starred Ángela Molina and Eusebio Poncela. His second film was El dios de madera (2010).
An interesting fact is that the famous film director Stanley Kubrick chose Molina Foix to translate his movie scripts.
